Get help from your Guardian
Ask for a clue, make sense of a mistake, and try the next step yourself.

Start with the activity in front of you
In an open lesson, tap your Guardian. Choose Open our conversation to write your own question. When available, Ask for a tip or Explain my mistake sends that request and opens the conversation. These actions depend on the current activity.
A suggested question can send immediately when you select it. If you want to use different words, write in the conversation first, review your message, then use its send control.
Ask about the part that is unclear
Say what you are working on, what you tried, and where you got stuck. Ask for one useful next step: a clue, an explanation of your mistake, or a check of your reasoning.
Choose a question below to see an example you can adapt. Copying keeps the sentence and question together; it does not send a message to a Guardian.

“Mara took an umbrella because the sky was dark.”
I can find what Mara did, but not why. Can you give me one clue without giving me the answer?
An example to adapt · Nothing is sent to a Guardian here.
Use the explanation, then try it
Wait for the reply to finish, then compare it with the question and your own working. If a step is unclear, name it in a follow-up: “Why does that word show the reason?” or “Can you explain that step another way?”
AI explanations can be mistaken. If something does not fit, point out the difference and check it against the lesson or ask your teacher. Return to the activity and try the step yourself; asking for help is separate from submitting an answer or completing a lesson.
Return to learningBring in the working on your page
If the steps are on paper, use Share my work or the photo control when available. Selecting a photo gives you a preview to review before sharing. If there is no photo action in that activity, type the relevant steps instead.
Check any recognised words and symbols against your page. The related photo guide explains framing, the file limit and retrying a photo that could not be read.
If a reply does not arrive
While a reply is still arriving, wait before sending the same question again. If you choose the stop control, the reply may be incomplete. A waiting message has not necessarily been answered.
For a failed or stopped message, use Try again beside that message when it is shown. Read any sign-in or usage message and follow the action it describes. A connection failure is not an assessment of your answer.
If the problem continues, tell support the course and lesson, the message shown and what you tried. You do not need to send the whole conversation or your schoolwork in the first support enquiry.
